Japanese Clover Clamps…ouch

This will be a quick and easy read.

If you follow me on Twitter you may have seen the poll I put up about which kinky/bdsm toy you’d like to see me review. Japanese Clover Clamps was the winner by a landslide.

Sometimes referred to simply as Clover Clamps these nipple toys are quite painful. If you or your partner are into or interested in nipple play I implore you not to start with Clover Clamps. Even for those experienced in nipple play and using other nipple clamps these are painful. Work your way up to them, even within a play session. Look closely at the pictures below and you will get a better idea of why they hurt so much.

When attached to the nipples or other body parts and the chain pulled the grip becomes even stronger.
See the small raised protrusions? They are one reason these hurt so much. They dig into the flesh. Both sides of the grip have them.

With that said I do like pain, to an extent, especially on my nipples. Pain mixed with pleasure is part of the allure or attraction to fetishes in the BDSM world. If you start off out of the gate with Clover Clamps you are going straight for pain without pleasure. I’m sure there are some heavy BDSM players out there who can go straight there though.

I’m not so much a sadist or masochist as I am a sensualist who enjoys inflicting and receiving pain that doesn’t draw blood or leave marks for weeks. Things still need to be sexy for hubby and me! In order for me to be able use the Clover Clamps we start off with plastic clothes pins. Sort of like foreplay for the nipples! If you’ve never even used those I would suggest starting with wooden clothes pins. The spring on those isn’t as tight as the plastic ones. Plus the wood is actually a little more forgiving. You can also use different type of nipple clamps such as those pictured below. They are either adjustable or simply not as tight.

I’ve tried to use the Clover Clamps several times and am not able to keep them on for more than a minute or two. They really are painful. I find that the plastic clothes pins work best for me and the level of pain I want to experience.

No matter which nipple clamp is used it should not be left on for more than 20 minutes. If even that long. Certainly you don’t want any damage to occur.

Now, the interesting thing about nipple clamps is what happens when they are removed. Since the blood flow to the area has been restricted there is a rush of blood back into the nipples which also causes pain…and pleasure. This is a great time to bite the nipples if you are into that. 😁😁

Should you decide to get some Clover Clamps you’ll find they aren’t very expensive and can be purchased at your local sex toy store or online.

Leave a comment if you’ve tried them and let me know what you think of them.
